My money!
Buying things on the internet....hmm.... I don't like it. I'm not completely sure why but I've never liked the idea of giving people my credit card number or sending them a check and then the possibility of not getting what I've paid for. It's a waste of money and those people are just jerks. I must admit that the necklace that I wear everyday I did buy through email but my mom had history with the people and I wanted it SO bad that it was worth the risk. Plus I just sent a check. I don't remember any other time that I've personally bought something for myself over the internet with my own money. I've helped my mom buy things and I've used her money to buy things but usually I avoid it. Too bad that makes me so nervous about buying things online that I'm having trouble getting up the guts to buy the concert tickets I want so much. Well I still have a month I guess.

On the hunt...
So the assignment this week was to search for myself online. Now I know that I'm out there because I have a myspace and a facebook and over the years I've signed up for things. Normally though I would sign up for stuff that I knew I didn't want mail from with a different version of my name. I was glad that when I started looking I just kept getting links to see things about stars. It was fun. Now I'm no internet wizz so I had no idea what sites to use to look for myself more in depth. I was excited to find that I wasn't on the site that had Fry's information all over it. When I didn't find anything good I sent Fry an email asking if he wanted to give it a try. My first email from him was my favorite.. It said "There's an (my name) who goes to the UWT and graduated from PHS in 07. Are there two of you on campus?" Now it might just be that I'm super tired or I'm just weird but I found that amusing. No there aren't two of me. I hope. That'd be weird. Other than that I don't know of anything that's online about me that I didn't already know about. I hope it stays that way for a long time.

The future of newspaper
I have a hard time thinking about whether the newspaper of today will stay around in the future or turn out completely digital. I am not the type of person that has any interest in news. I find it highly depressing and avoid it for the most part. I think that one day newspapers will become rare, at least because of the ease of finding and getting online news. But I definitely do not think that, that will happen till my generation is a lot older. The generations before me still read the paper and some of mine do to so I believe that as long as there are readers around there will at least be some form of the newspaper printed.
